His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh Injured in Fall at Metropolis Headquarters

To the Reverend Clergy, Monastics, and Faithful of the God-Kept Metropolis of Pittsburgh,

It is with a prayerful heart that I share with you that our Beloved Metropolitan Maximos suffered a fall at the Metropolis on Friday afternoon, September 2, 2005. His Eminence was admitted to a local Pittsburgh hospital and is receiving the best care possible, and is surrounded by his immediate family.

While genuine concern may prompt a desire to visit or call, the family feels that the next few days should be peaceful and restful for His Eminence, and therefore request only your prayers at this time.

Within the next few days, we will update you on the situation, and ask that you remain prayerful for His Eminence’s full recovery.
