METROPOLITAN MAXIMOS OF PITTSBURGH HOSPITALIZED

NEW YORK - As a result of an accidental fall within the building of the Metropolis headquarters in Pittsburgh on Friday afternoon, His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh suffered a head injury and was transported to a nearby Hospital in Pittsburgh for medical aid and observation. He remains hospitalized until his condition is completely evaluated and treated.

Upon hearing the upsetting news of this accident, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios expressed his deep concern, as well as that of the brother hierarchs, for the health of his beloved brother in Christ, and asked that all clergy and faithful of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America pray for the speedy recovery of Metropolitan Maximos with the certainty of God's decisive help in the heeling process
