Pittsburgh
FROM: Rev. Archdeacon Ryan Gzikowski, Assistant to the Metropolitan

RE: Metropolitan Maximos Returns Home
It is with great joy and thanksgiving that we announce that Metropolitan
Maximos of Pittsburgh has returned home from the hospital and rehabilitation
facility where he had been recuperating after a fall at Metropolis offices
on September 2, 2005.
His Eminence's road to recovery includes continued rest and therapy.
He
will reside with family members for the time being, and will gradually
return to his regular schedule in due time. Parish visitations will be
limited, and administrative work will be handled on a priority basis with
his staff and appointed representatives, as usual. Visitors and calls
will
also be limited, at His Eminence's own request.
During this time of recovery, His Eminence asks that all Metropolis-level
and parish-level activities continue without interruption. All
administrative matters will continue to be handled by the Metropolis staff,
and all pastoral matters that require episcopal attention will be handled
personally by the Metropolitan, as usual. His Eminence continues to oversee
every aspect of the Metropolis, and continues to fulfill all of his duties
and responsibilities.
His Eminence would like to thank everyone who has expressed their concern
for his health. He is appreciative of all of you who expressed, in so
many
ways, your love for him. He is most grateful for each and every prayer
that
is continually offered on his behalf.
I convey to you the blessings of the Metropolitan, and his appreciation
for
your thoughtfulness and prayers.
