Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh September 2, 2006 Dearly Beloved, It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of the Mayor of Pittsburgh, Robert E. O'Connor. Mayor Bob O'Connor was an enthusiastic public servant, and will be remembered for his great love of the City of Pittsburgh. Mayor O'Connor was a friend of the Greek-American community through his longtime friendship with Mr. Louis Pappan, having served as Vice President of Operations for Pappan Enterprises prior to entering public service. On behalf of the Clergy and Faithful of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh, I offer my prayers for the eternal memory of Mayor O'Connor, and pray that the Lord grant his family strength and peace.
